I think I understand how our culture functions.

Let's review:

Traitor Jane visits N. Vietnam, mingles with its soldiers, and has her picture taken sitting in the seat of an anti-aircraft gun that is used to shoot down our soldiers. Our country takes no action against her, ostensibly since war was never actually declared by Congress as decreed in our Constitution. No big deal.
General Betrayus (Petraeus) has an affair outside his marriage and leaks classified information to his mistress. He retires as a four star general with little to no punishment, just some public embarassment a la Bill Clinton, and is in the running for a Cabinet post in the incoming administration. No big deal.
Hilary Clinton uses a home-based private email server to mis-handle, allegedly, over 30,000 emails, more than a few of that number containing classified information. No big deal.
Army private now Chelsea Manning, after a taxpayer funded sex change operation, is locked up for something like 30 years for releasing hundreds of thousands of classified documents. This apparently IS a big deal, because little privates are the only people in our govt. who should know better. Big Deal.
The Deplorables as usual must toe that line. Only the Little People pay taxes. If you think you are somebody, or your company is pretty big, you can do, say, go wherever and whatever you want, and the Law will look the other way.
Got it.

In response to a FB posting that listed pretty much all of our errors and mis-steps over the last 75 years or so, then asked why we would want to return to former Greatness, I replied with the following.

Wow. America is not perfect. Well, I'll be darned. Who knew?

Let us review the immigration statistics for all 207 countries. Oh, look, more people want to come to America, and less want to leave, than any other place on the planet. What a shock.

Maybe it's because of the freedoms we offer, the opportunities, the lifestyle to be whomever one wants to be, the ability to improve one's life and take care of one's family. Our warts and our mistakes are out there for all the world to see and discuss and rage against and point fingers at. At least we allow that, heck, we encourage it.

Try speaking out against the ruling governments in: Turkey, Greece, Russia, Ukraine, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, and all the countries ending in stan, N. Korea, Vietnam, China, etc., etc. Dissent is either not allowed at all, or tightly tightly controlled.

So many firsts in our political system this last national and state election alone. You can look up the "Firsts" elsewhere. Folks of all backgrounds, sexual choices, and religions were elected to various levels of our govt. This is known as inclusion, and it's a good thing.

The Dulles Brothers/Eisenhower foreign policy of the 1950s has set up the world as it is today. Our own confused unclear national foreign policy has perpetuated it to a certain extent. Interfering in the internal affairs of other countries was thought to be the best way to insure American dominance for the second half of the 20th century. What we overlooked, was that 1) countries tended to take offense at our approach; and 2) all our foreign aid, Peace Corps, Voice of America, Exchange programs, and others, led to the improvement and independence of many, many countries around the world. Not all of them chose to be associated with Western principles of individual freedom of speech, religion, and life itself.

Pointing out our faults is putting our country's existence out of context. No country, no empire, has ever, ever been perfect. More countries have modeled their constitutions and forms of govt after us, than after any other type, period. Communism and monarchy are proven failures. Utopia doesn't work, and neither does Socialism nor Fascism. I think our country has, in just over 240 years, gotten a hell of a lot more right, than wrong.

I am aware of its warts and its mistakes, and I am also aware that despite its missteps, people are still willing to dig tunnels, hang on to a floatable object, swim, stowaway, do whatever it takes, to get in here, so they too can have a better life than from whence they came. We must be doing something right.

Anyone else disturbed at the increasing national trend, going on some 30 years now, of eliminating competition in the market place? This is NOT how we made the 5,000 Year Leap in society.
One box store and one on-line store overwhelmingly dominating retail; a tiny handful of communications giants; half a dozen networks; half a dozen newspaper conglomerates with no journalism views or skills allowed; cars that must meet strict federal mpg guidelines that insure a one-design system (car shows 50 years from now are gonna suck); one national health care system with little to no competition to control products and prices (see Epi-Pen); look-a-like chain stores across the country, eliminating the small business owner.
This is what this election is all about. A new World Order where we are told where to buy, what to read, what to believe, where to go get ourselves healed. This, is nonsense. This, is not the pursuit of Happiness. This is not freedom.

Not voting, is simply not an option. You're not "showing" anybody anything by not voting, other than you are a moronic and irresponsible citizen. Few people like the candidates we are stuck with. That does NOT absolve us of our principal duty as citizens. Section 60 in Arlington, and cemeteries around the country are full of young men and women would love the opportunity to vote. I know that my vote will probably cancel someone else's for the other candidate. I have resigned myself to the non-option of having to live with one of these two disgusting human beings in the WH come Jan. But vote I must. We must. And I will. We all need to. 1968 remains the only year that at least 60% of us did so. And that, is pathetic.

If you and I approved mortgages for un-qualified applicants, we'd of been fired, or sent to jail.

If you or I refused to pay our taxes, we'd of been fined, or sent to jail.

If you or I had created false bank accounts for real customers without their knowledge, we'd of been fired, fined, or sent to jail.

If you or I failed to properly handle classified material of any level, we would have gone directly to jail, for years.

After the mortgage banking fraud, only one guy out of thousands was left holding the bag, and went to jail. Meanwhile, thousands lost their jobs, homes, and life savings.

Fortune 500 and other companies across America have inverted themselves to register and bank overseas, abdicating their tax responsibilities to the nation and to the communities in which they live and depend upon tax-funded operations.

Slithery Clinton is walking free after an alleged FBI investigationt that we now know was fraudlent from day one.

The upcoming election is, more blatantly than ever before, about the ongoing battle between rich and poor, the haves vs the have-nots. Those with power willing to abuse for personal interest, at the expense of the majority of the citizens of this once great country. Nation in Distress indeed.

Enron and Worldcom Frauds = I believe three execs went to jail, while thousands lost their jobs, homes, life savings.
Mortgage banking Fraud = crashed the world economy, cost people their homes, jobs, savings. One guy, left holding the bag, went to jail.
Fortune 500 companies = either inverted, or banking off shore to avoid their share of taxes. Govt goes nothing, burden added to few members of lower and middle classes that still have jobs.
Wall St. stocks have never been higher = not reflective of real world. Slithery's fans want her in to keep the ride going.
Wells Fargo Bank, as CORPORATE POLICY, creates millions of false accounts using their own customers. CEO stammers before Congress, finally resigned yesterday, forfeited $42m in stock. While he has no golden parachute, he also has NO LEGAL CHARGES pending, and "at $134 million, the 63-year-old's retirement fund will pull in $3.6 million a year if he bases his planning on living to age 100 before investment income or inflation are taken into account."
"Besides whatever retirement benefits he has accumulated over the years at the helm of Wynn Resorts, founding CEO Stephen Wynn would get a payout of $358.1 million if his board terminates him without cause or a change of control, such as in a merger, according to filing checked in August.
David Simon of real-estate firm Simon Property Group stands to walk with $302.4 million and Leslie Moonves of CBS would get $225.3 million.
Some cash in. When Viacom gave the boot to CEO Philippe Dauman, he stood to make $84 million on the way out, according to executive pay tracking firm Equilar.
If Yahoo succeeds in selling its core assets to Verizon, Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer stands to get about $50 million as part of her package."
Justice Dept allegedly investigates Slithery for any illegal activities in regards to handling of classified materials, finds she lied, BRINGS NO CHARGES.
Congress robs Social Security fund, involuntaryily contributed to and built by, American workers. No relief in sight.
Presidents overextend Executive Order powers, thus circumventing Congress and the whole point of having three balancing branches of govt.
Monopoly laws are ignored.
De-regulation has left us with one govt-run passenger railroad without competition, and four U.S. airlines carrying 80% of all air traffic, thus controlling what they have to give as customer service.
And THIS, then, is what the coming election is all about. Do we as American voters and citizens, continue to allow the status quo to continue, to allow our system of govt to be trampled over by the rich and haughty, who were RAISED to believe the rules don't apply to them? Or do we put into the WH a guy, who for all his flaws, remains an unknown quantity who says he will turn things around?
Granted, there's no great choice between the two. But, based upon the behavior of Big Business, Big Oil, Big Pharmaceutical, Big Banking, Wall St., and the failure of any part of our govt to reign any of them in, for at least 40 years, I think the choice is clear.

Seems to me that the only folks up in arms over Mr. Trump's comments recorded 11 years ago, are the talking heads who need new fodder to chew on. No one else, including the populace, seems all that upset over his remarks. Men will be men. And, people change over time. Women talk about men in the same way.
I liked retired CBS respected newsman Bill Schaeffer's (sp) comments Sunday night, post-debate: "that debate resembled a banana republic...." I'm paraphrasing here. What an ad hominem debacle and disgrace on both sides. I don't believe the issues facing us were discussed at all.
What we have is the Perfect Political Storm, constructed by both major political parties nominating as their candidates, the two worst possible people to ever be considered for the most important job in the world. Neither candidate has the class, character, or integrity the office demands and should receive.
Slithery has all the national and international experience, but is a liar, a cheat, a thief, a disengenuous speaker who will say and do anything to get back to the WH. Her denigrating and disgusting treatment of staff wherever she has hung her purse is well-known. Trump is right in that she is a hypocrite. Her husband is itching to return as well. They are two of the most disgusting American citizens we have put in the international limelight since Julius and Ethel Rosenberg.
Mr. Trump can't get out of his own way. He clearly believes since he can run a boardroom, that he can run a country. Good grief. However, Slithery is a known quantity of the most disgusting. Trump is the unknown and despite his too-plain talk, at least offers some hope of turning our country away from Big Business, Big Oil, Big Pharmacy, and Wall St.  It is thought he will bring hope and economic stability to We the Deplorables, er, People, and restore the disappearing middle class, the backbone as always, of our once-functioning society.
I will be forced to vote on Election Day, only to cancel out a vote for the other person. That is NOT how our system of representation and election is supposed to work.

In reply to MSNBC artilce 5 Oct 2016 about 38,901 of Muslim immigrants allowed to enter the U.S. so far in 2016:
----------------------------------------------------------

It's an organized terror group under the cover of a religion. It's been in hateful existence since the 7th century.
Our leaders of both parties had better wake up to the truth of this cult. They have not ever hidden their true goal: world domination and worship of Allah and following the strictest tenets. These people are nuts. They are deadly. They are dedicated to violence. They strike out from their terror cells every now and then, and we all act surprised: "It's a nice community. We never thought it could happen here."
I am tired of hearing that. The list of Muslim attacks in America, and around the world, is more than long enough to tell everyone these people are nothing more than terrorists.
Since for centuries they have made their mission clear, they should not be admitted to this country. There is a wonderful greeting inscribed at the base of our Lady with the Lamp. It simply does not apply to these terrorist killers born with tunnel-vision hate in their hearts. They are not welcome here, nor in most countries.
I could care less if they are fleeing war-torn areas, if women and children are involved. It's all smoke and mirrors. They will use, and believe in, any method, fear, intimidation, lying, acting, to get implanted and eventually pull off their plan of killing any and all who disagree with them.
They are the entire world's latest curse, in a long line of such activities. It is past time to snuff them out, as an entire people.

Known vs The Unknown:  a borrowed FB post:  Oct 1, 2016.

(I did not write this, but I like it).
---------------------------------------------
I have been asked "the question" so many times regarding Trump or Hillary. By way of background, I have followed every national convention—Republican and Democrat—from the time I was age 9, and have attended most of the GOP Conventions from 1984 to the present. I have watched the news virtually every day from the age of 8. I have never seen anything like what we are observing.
In spite of the unprecedented nature of this election cycle, I will attempt to respond to "the question." I am not demanding that anyone else share my view. But I was asked. Here is my best attempt to answer as I am able to see things at this time:

1.   The Democratic and Republican party platforms are as different as night and day, in my opinion, as far apart as evil vs. good. The 51-page Democratic platform is the most leftist ever. (I don't care for the "right vs. left" nomenclature. I am far more concerned with "right vs. wrong.") The Democratic platform contains many points which are anti-biblical. (Time does not permit me here to identify what is meant by "anti-biblical," which is covered in my new book Well Versed: Biblical Answers to Today's Tough Issues.) It is thoroughly socialistic (a socialist is a communist without a gun). The 54-page GOP platform is one of the strongest GOP platforms ever. A biblically alert person could be comfortable with almost all of it. Party platforms are a big issue to me. Although some "blow off" party platforms, I do not. Nor do many people up and down the ballot who are running for office. This is a serious and very important item. I have a hard copy of both platforms in front of me now. Most people have never checked out what the party platforms say. They should. If a person is not drawn to the "top-of-the-ballot" candidate, they ought to at least consider voting for the candidate attached to the best party platform.
2.   Analogy #1: Both candidates are flawed. We all know that. But permit me an analogy: As a pastor, I would rather deal with a church attendee who is blatant and brash in his sinning than one who is devious, lying, cunning and deceptive. Both are problematic, but one is easier to deal with than the other. If I were a pastor bringing correction to a parishioner, I would prefer dealing with a "Trump-type" any day over a "Hillary-type." The chances of making progress with the "Trump-type" are many times greater than the "Hillary-type."
3.   Analogy #2: When my (late) wife's remarkable and much loved oncologist said, "Don't take Carol to that alternative (non FDA approved) treatment." I asked, "Why not?" He said, "The unknown." I said, "Doctor, your 'known' is much worse than the alternative treatment's 'unknown.'" I took her to that alternative treatment. One year later that same oncologist went to the alternative treatment doctor to see how it was that Carol had improved so much. While this alternative treatment did not ultimately save her life, it likely stretched two to three years of life to six years of life—by the admission of another one of her brilliant young oncologists who later said, "Without any medical training or scientific fact, you have put together a protocol of treatment that has moved her into the top fraction of 1 percent of survival rates of all patients with Carol's particular cancer. Application of the analogy: Hillary's "known" is considerably worse—many times over—than Trump's "unknown."
4.   Trump has lots of sins in his past (actually, we all do), and—in the present—says things he should not say. I make no attempt to defend any of the things he has said. There is no need to rehearse the wrong things he has said. We know what they are. He should not have thought or said them. But there is no need to rehash them here. So we won't. But let's turn to the other candidate. Although America has had some scandal-ridden candidates in its history, we have never seen any one major party candidate more constantly scandalous as Hillary (along with her husband). She seems to exceed all previous boundaries for wrongdoing. The scandals just don't stop. In the same way we did not take time to list all of Trump's misstatements, neither will we here rehash the seemingly continuous string of horrific scandals of the Clintons.
5.   Trump is slowly being surrounded by increasingly good people. From time to time, I receive encouraging calls regarding this. Can these good people impact Trump? We will see. In contrast, I see no reason for any encouragement regarding the people who surround Hillary.
6.   Trump is right on approximately 75 percent of the issues. I wish it was 100 percent. It is not. I am in hopes that those beginning to surround him can help him connect the dots on more issues. Hillary is wrong on 100 percent of the issues.
7.   This next issue might be one of the most important, but I suspect few will understand its significance. Trump opposes globalism. Hillary thrives on it. Globalism is far more than "geographical" or "eliminating national borders and boundaries." It is spiritual and demonic at its core. Few—very few—understand this. This is quite likely one of the main reasons why Trump is hated. Do your homework on this one. Think "principalities and powers." Serious. Extremely serious.
8.   Not voting is not a viable option, contrary to what the "purists" claim. It is not my intention to begin a war of the issue. I know that some radically disagree with this. My view? They have the right to be wrong.
9.   Voting for a third party candidate is—regardless of what is said—a complete "throw-away." No third party candidate will be elected, or even come remotely close to being elected. And yes, that matters to me. And for the record, the Libertarian ticket—Johnson and Weld—is nearly as bad on many issues as Hillary. When I listen to them, I am stunned people of their ability have ever made it to elective office.
10.   Trump has moved pro-life. Hillary is pro-baby killing, and prides herself on that, and honors the organization—Planned Parenthood—that actually traffics human parts from dead babies whom they have killed. This is below anything we have seen since Nazi Germany. The gall of Hillary! The Clintons have evaded justice for decades and likely will continue to. But they will someday stand before the Great White Throne. They will have to give account of their support of the ripping babies to shreds in the womb. For the record, those who vote for those who support the genocide of pre-borns will also have to give an account.
11.   Trump wants to defend the nation (which is the purpose of government). Hillary has a horrific track record as Secretary of State, and due to hundreds of millions of dollars given to her and her husband's foundation, she is beholden to those who want us dead.
12.   Hillary claims "everything is fine" in America. This defies every single fact, but facts have never been an interest of Hillary's. Trump understands that it is 11:59 p.m. on the "cultural clock." America is near the end—morally, economically, militarily and, sadly, spiritually. There are very clear identifiable indicators—measurable ones—that America is no longer the world's leading power. That day is over. Hillary will hasten the final destruction. Trump could either slow that down—or possibly, with God's help—reverse it. Maybe.
13.   Trump will address the massive government spending. Hillary will expand it above the existing unsustainable debt the U.S. currently is carrying (almost $20 trillion plus unfunded liabilities to Social Security, etc).
14.   Trump will expose—and I pray, bring down—"the systemic evil" (crony, deceitful, misuse of capitalism) that reigns among many high-dollar lobbyists. Hillary thrives because of them.
15.   Trump will stop the massive overreach of government. Hillary will extend it.
16.   Freedoms come in "threes." Political freedom, economic freedom and religious liberty coexist together. Take one away and the other two will eventually disappear. One cannot exist without the other two. The genius of America is that it had all three, until recently. Trump fully grasps the loss of religious liberty. I have heard him speak on it in person on several occasions. He knows that economic and political freedoms are evaporating. He will reverse that. Hillary will decimate all three.
17.   Every rational person knows the Supreme Court appointments are paramount. Trump has listed 11 superb potential nominees. Hillary's appointments would snuff out the tiny vestige of the three freedoms that are left (mentioned in the statement above).
18.   I make no excuse for wrongdoing or wrongful, hurtful words from either candidate. Candidly, I want King Jesus. He rules in my heart. And yours too, I suspect. And I want Him to rule here—now. But that day is not fully manifested—yet. In the meantime, we prayerfully, carefully navigate this challenging election season, with great concern that above all, we honor our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in every arena of our lives, including the voting booth. That is my hope. I believe it is yours as well.

A GREAT HISTORY LESSON MOST OF US WERE NEVER TAUGHT IN SCHOOL
As you will learn, this is one of the many reasons why History is no longer taught in our public schools.
When Thomas Jefferson saw there was no negotiating with Muslims, he formed what is now the Marines (sea going soldiers). These Marines were attached to U. S. Merchant vessels. When the Muslims attacked U.S. merchant vessels they were repulsed by armed soldiers, but there is more.
The Marines followed the Muslims back to their villages and killed every man, woman, and child in the village.
It didn't take long for the Muslims to leave U.S. Merchant vessels alone.
English and French merchant vessels started running up our flag when entering the Mediterranean to secure safe travel.
Why the Marine Hymn contains the verse, "To the Shores of Tripoli"
This is very interesting and a must read piece of our history. It points out where we may be heading.
Most Americans are unaware of the fact that over two hundred years ago the United States had declared war on Islam, and Thomas Jefferson led the charge.!
At the height of the 18th century, Muslim pirates (the "Barbary Pirates") were the terror of the Mediterranean and a large area of the North Atlantic.
They attacked every ship in sight, and held the crews for exorbitant ransoms. Those taken hostage were subjected to barbaric treatment and wrote heart-breaking letters home, begging their governments and families to pay whatever their Mohammedan captors demanded.
These extortionists of the high seas represented the North African Islamic nations of Tripoli, Tunis, Morocco, and Algiers - collectively referred to as the Barbary Coast – and presented a dangerous and unprovoked threat to the new American Republic.
Before the Revolutionary War, U.S. merchant ships had been under the protection of Great Britain. When the U.S. declared its independence and entered into war, the ships of the United States were protected by France.
However, once the war was won, America had to protect its own fleets.
Thus, the birth of the U.S. Navy. Beginning in 1784, 17 years before he would become president, Thomas Jefferson became America's Minister to France. That same year, the U.S. Congress sought to appease its Muslim adversaries by following in the footsteps of European nations who paid bribes to the Barbary States rather than engaging them in war.
In July of 1785, Algerian pirates captured American ships, and the Dye of Algiers demanded an unheard-of ransom of $60,000. It was a plain and simple case of extortion, and Thomas Jefferson was vehemently opposed to any further payments.
Instead, he proposed to Congress the formation of a coalition of allied nations who together could force the Islamic states into peace. A disinterested Congress decided to pay the ransom.
In 1786, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams met with Tripoli's ambassador to Great Britain to ask by what right his nation attacked American ships and enslaved American citizens, and why Muslims held so much hostility towards America, a nation with which they had no previous contacts.
The two future presidents reported that Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja had answered that Islam "was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Quran that all nations who would not acknowledge their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Musselman (Muslim) who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise."
Despite this stunning admission of premeditated violence on non-Muslim nations, as well as the objections of many notable American leaders, including George Washington, who warned that caving in was both wrong and would only further embolden the enemy, for the following fifteen years the American government paid the Muslims millions of dollars for the safe passage of American ships or the return of American hostages.
The payments in ransom and tribute amounted to over 20 percent of the United States government annual revenues in 1800. Jefferson was disgusted. Shortly after his being sworn in as the third President of the United States in 1801, the Pasha of Tripoli sent him a note demanding the immediate payment of $225,000 plus $25,000 a year for every year forthcoming. That changed everything.
Jefferson let the Pasha know, in no uncertain terms, what he could do with his demand. The Pasha responded by cutting down the flagpole at the American consulate and declared war on the United States. Tunis, Morocco, and Algiers immediately followed suit.
Jefferson, until now, had been against America raising a naval force for anything beyond coastal defense, but, having watched his nation be cowed by Islamic thuggery for long enough, decided that it was finally time to meet force with force.
He dispatched a squadron of frigates to the Mediterranean and taught the Muslim nations of the Barbary Coast a lesson he hoped they would never forget. Congress authorized Jefferson to empower U.S. ships to independent United States had both the will and the right to strike back, they quickly abandoned their allegiance to Tripoli.
The war with Tripoli lasted for four more years, and raged up again in 1815. The bravery of the U.S. Marine Corps in these wars led to the line "to the shores of Tripoli" in the Marine Hymn, and they would forever be known as "leathernecks" for the leather collars of their uniforms, designed to prevent their heads from being cut off by the Muslim scimitars when boarding enemy ships.
Islam, and what its Barbary followers justified doing in the name of their prophet and their god, disturbed Jefferson quite deeply.
America had a tradition of religious tolerance. In fact Jefferson, himself, had co-authored the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom, but fundamentalist Islam was like no other religion the world had ever seen. A religion based on supremacy, whose holy book not only condoned but mandated violence against unbelievers, was unacceptable to him.
His greatest fear was that someday this brand of Islam would return and pose an even greater threat to the United States.
This should concern every American. That Muslims have brought about women-only classes and swimming times at taxpayer-funded universities and public pools; that Christians, Jews, and Hindus have been banned from serving on juries where Muslim defendants are being judged; Piggy banks and Porky Pig tissue dispensers have been banned from workplaces because they offend Islamist sensibilities; ice cream has been discontinued at certain Burger King locations because the picture on the wrapper looks similar to the Arabic script for Allah; public schools are pulling pork from their menus; on and on and on and on..
It's death by a thousand cuts, or inch-by-inch as some refer to it, and most Americans have no idea that this battle is being waged every day across America. By not fighting back, by allowing groups to obfuscate what is really happening, and not insisting that the Islamists adapt to our culture, the United States is cutting its own throat with a politically correct knife, and helping to further the Islamists' agenda.
If you have any doubts about the above information, Google "Thomas Jefferson vs. the Muslim World."

Something for all of us to seriously think about, and consider: this bomber walked among us for a majority of his 28 years. High school, shopping, college, etc., because we are a tolerant nation that still believes in our Achilles Heel posted to the base of the Statue of Liberty. So have the other attackers, male and female. The stabber in MN on Saturday, the CA couple slaughtering fellow office workers, and on, and on the list goes. At some point we have to wake up, make a stand.

Building a mosque near Ground Zero, after 19 Saudis slaughtered 3,000 of us in one morning? Audacious but, no problem, because we are a tolerant nation.

Stabbings, shootings, office massacres all across our nation? No problem, because we are a tolerant nation that refuses to believe so many people from one "religion" hate us that badly. Those that act out violently surely must be an aberration. Look at the majority of Muslims, spouting all the rights words to reassure us that they are peace-loving people and that their violent brethern do not represent the real Islam.

It is past time to stop swallowing that bilge water. Islam is not a religion. It is a terrorist organization, world-wide in scope and organization, dedicated to taking over the world. Period.

Clearly there are Muslim terror cells deep within our society, ready to strike fear at any time, rising from their anonymity and p.c. speech to spread their evil.

The only way I know, to get rid of weeds in a garden, is to rip them all up and out. In so doing, a few good plants will also be destroyed. Too bad.

No more mosques. No more refugees (10,000 more are due from war-destroyed Syria). There is no proper vetting. That is spin from your bought and paid for govt, destined to bring a New World Order one way or another.

How many more attacks are we willing to put up with, because we are a tolerant nation, the refugee collection center for the world's alleged oppressed, the Melting Pot Nation that just can't say no?

Muslims will never earn my trust, ever. That is because of their behavior choices, their ideology, not because I am intolerant, prejudiced, racist, bigoted, whatever the word of the day is.

I look at the forty-some year long long list of international terror attacks around the globe, and I just don't see any Irishman, Scotsmen, Spaniards, Mexicans, Poles, Ukrainians, Russians, Chinese, Australians dominating the list. I see almost nothing but followers of Islam.

To tolerate this terrorist group a day longer, is foolish, and proving fatal. To too many citizens around our globe who just want to live in peace.

Taxpayer/citizen/voter alert:

---------------------------------------------

Article in this morning's Post and Courier states that the Obama Administration has (wait for it) "working outside Congress, finalized a deal to provide Israel's military with $38B during the next ten years."

Pretty sure this is NOT what our FF had in mind when they debated long and hard over one hot, mosquito-filled, no-breeze, no a/c summer in Philly, eventually creating a three headed govt intended to provide checks and balances on each other. Animal Farm continues.

We have strayed so far from those first realistic ideals it isn't even funny. WW II gave birth to our national intelligence gathering system, eventually becoming the overbearing and thoroughly out of control CIA. Under Allen Dulles and his brother John, Sec. of State, the U.S. embarked on its present-day course of international interference in the affairs of other nations, and hasn't looked back. The list of countries and their leaders we have invaded/overthrown in the name of American Business is legend. Let us not put aside the millions of civilians in all countries who suffered and died as well.

Fast forward to this week. Yet again, Mr. Otero has gone around Congress and authorized a Memorandum of Understanding package of military assistance. These MOUs are routine, unfortunately. Not all are approved or orchestrated through Congress. This, after knuckling under to a nuclear authorization treaty with Israel's declared enemy, Iran, who has publicly, openly sworn to eliminate Israel from the face of the Earth.

Darn right Mr. Otero wants Slithery to replace him. Some idiot has to keep the lunacy going.

Meanwhile, Mr. Otero's administration is suing the state of North Carolina for having the audacity to pass a law that never should have been necessary, requiring men to use men's rooms and women to use women's rooms, i.e. using the room that matches the gender on their birth certificate. What a concept. This, is what we have fallen to: a law dictating where each of the only two sexes that I know of, must tinkle. Excellent.

That's your morning update. Enjoy your coffee. Oh, by the way, your govt is broke. Nope, I have no idea where money for Israel is going to come from. Probably from money set aside for: Social Security; Infrastructure Repair and Replacement; Education; Mental Health; Veteran Care; Homeless Care; Storm Cleanup, etc. Welcome to the new America.

NEVER SAID BETTER.
Time is like a river. You cannot touch the water twice, because the flow that has passed will never pass again.
Franklin Graham was speaking at the First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida in January, 2015, when he said America will not come back.
He wrote:

The American dream ended on November 6th, 2012 in Ohio. The second term of Barack Obama has been the final nail in the coffin for the legacy of the white Christian males who discovered, explored, pioneered, settled and developed the greatest republic in the history of mankind. A coalition of blacks, Latinos, feminists, government workers, union members, environmental extremists, the media, Hollywood, uninformed young people, the "forever needy," the chronically
unemployed, illegal aliens and other "fellow travelers" have ended Norman Rockwell's America.
You will never again out-vote these people. It will take individual acts of defiance and massive displays of civil disobedience to get back the rights we have allowed them to take away. It will take zealots, not moderates and shy, not reach-across-the-aisle RINOs to right this ship and restore our beloved country to its former status. People like me are completely politically irrelevant, and I will probably never again be able to legally comment on or concern myself with the aforementioned coalition which has surrendered our culture, our heritage and our traditions without a shot being fired. The cocker spaniel is off the front porch, the pit bull is in the back yard, the American Constitution has been replaced with Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" and the likes of Chicago shyster David Axelrod along with international socialist George Soros have been pulling the strings on their beige puppet have brought us Act 2 of the New World Order. The curtain will come down but the damage has been done, the story has been told. Those who come after us will once again have to risk their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to bring back the Republic that this generation has timidly frittered away due to white guilt and political correctness.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I happen to agree with him. My response:
Our Republic WAS working, more or less fine. It had solved some problems and identified others it was working on. Then, something happened.
Eisenhower happened. His inability to control the Dulles brothers contributed mightily to today's horrors.
Before him, Truman put us into Vietnam. Ike approved the killing of foreign leaders, from the urgings of Allen Dulles, a slope we never managed to climb back up. After Dallas, well, Big Business took over. Nixon opened China, and American businesses started fleeing to 3rd world countries paying.50 a day vs. our $2.00 an hour. That has only gotten worse and cannot be brought back.
In the 1980s, with deregulation, Wall St. went nuts with greed, and leveraged buyouts of companies left and right, then released all the employees and sold the assets. In the 90s and since, corporate competition was stomped out using consolidation methods. Today, we have exactly one passenger train company in the country; four airlines carry 80% of our air traffic, and our largest retailer doesn't even have a store. Big box stores that dominate operate on the designed-obsolescence theory, requiring us to keep buying Chinese crap. Major U.S. corporations have inverted themselves to foreign countries to dodge our taxes, yet continue to avail themselves of our freedoms, defenses, utilities, and labor, without contributing their share to our communities.
Most of our problems stem from one: Congress, that is totally bought and paid for by Big Business; and two: from a dumbed down electorate that could care less about learning about issues and candidates and finds it far easier to just keep voting the same people back in office. As a result, the state of IL is tottering on the cliff of bankruptcy and I am sure there are other states close. CA comes to mind.
Racial harmony has all but disappeared. Minority opinions hold sway in our courts. One person doesn't like the Pledge, the Anthem, the Ten Commandments, the Flag, a Christmas display, and suddenly the overwhelming majority is left standing there wondering what the hell happened to their country. Thomas Jefferson felt a revolution every now and then would be necessary. Well, we are in one now, run by Soros, and Alinsky disciples, and their ilk, and their money, and their blind youthful followers who can barely read. It matters not, who wins in Nov, and perhaps that is the biggest crime of all.

On Colin Kaepernick:

--------------------------------------

He has zero sense of history, none whatsoever. He has zero idea how to effect postive long-lasting change.
I would point him towards Native Americans and Japanese and black Americans, all of whom served with honor, distinction, valor, and great courage during WW II. Each of these groups of men came back to a country that simply shunned them in oh so many ways. None of the members of these groups ever considered ignoring our nation's symbol. Members of all these groups have strived ever since, to effect positive change in their communities, and in their nation.
We have come a long way towards true equality and respect for all in our country over the last roughly seven decades. We did so working within the laws and framework of our society, not by ignorant un-informed rabble-rousing, not by burning down our own neighborhoods, but by registering to vote, and voting, and attending town council meetings, and writing to our representatives, and running for office ourselves.
The sight of pampered spoiled multi-millionaires disrespecting the symbol of a nation that allows them to make a stunning level of income and enjoy a luxurous lifestyle, is enough to turn folks away from being fans of their efforts, and of spending increasinglly hard-earned dollars on them.
Absolutely there is the right of protest. There is also a right and a wrong way to do things. Goodness, what morons.

How I Would Change our Welfare System:

1. No mailing checks. Eliminate fraud, checks going to dead people, etcetera.

2. Must have picture i.d. provided by Welfare Dept.  You forget your i.d., you don't get paid.

3. Show up with verifiable proof of at least six places you applied for work that previous month. These must not repeat for 13 months.

4.  In return for your cash payment, ten percent will be put into an untouchable savings account for you. If Roth IRAs are untouchable, then so shall be mandatory savings accounts.

5.  You must donate 20 hours weekly to your community: litter patrol, paint, repair work, crossing guard, flower box construction, park and playground maintenance, something. NO FREE LUNCH. You must bring your record showing your volunteer hours worked, signed by your supervisor. You don't bring it, you don't get paid.

6. If you smoke, or drink alcohol, your payment amount drops by ten percent. The working folks have zero responsibility to support your vices.

7. At the end of two years, you are automatically dropped from welfare rolls, and your savings acct funds are given to you. You are not eligible for welfare in all 50 states for at least five years. Questions?

Our govt. can't find 12m illegals, but they did manage to locate a mosquito on Miami Beach that just happened to be infected with the Zika virus.
Riiiiiiiiight.
Watching CBS news video replay this morning on Roku, we sat through ten minutes of a network talk show endorsement. On and on they babbled about the 7th anniversary of this show.
This, is NOT news. This, was a shameful ratings grab.
I cannot recall Huntley-Brinkley, Uncle Walter, Peter Jennings, Mike Wallace, Tom Brokaw, et al, endorsing local programming during their 30 minute nightly actual news broadcasts.
Our corporate media has totally, thoroughly abdicated their social responsibility to keep the population informed on current events that affect their lives, domestically, and internationally.
Shame on every one of their employees who accepts a paycheck for these shenanigans.
 It is NOT journalism.
It is instead the Clown Broadcasting Shame.

Every generation that comes along, all of whom have no sense of history, are easily aroused by the antics of the audacious few who think they should lead us. Passions and idealism are aroused to a point bordering on hysteria.
There is nothing new under the sun. Political antics of the past two years are nothing new. No political promise is worth spit, nor are most politicians.
Neither candidate is all that highly qualified to lead a parade, much less our country.
What I don't understand, is Hispanics standing behind Slithery still, despite her party referring to Hispanics in general as Taco Bowl.
Blacks, ignored by their Democratic Party for 160 years except during election time, should start thinking for themselves and examine what their party has done for them, which is nothing that matters.

Good initial visit to Charleston VA medical center this morning. Visit was to establish eligibility for treatment, in order to be evaluated for my exposure to Agent Orange all those years ago. Thank you, Monsanto.
Incredibly clean facility, staffed by extremely polite and helpful, considerate staff, everywhere we went.
Sat down for my interview, which consisted of me providing basic background information. All that I provided, I could have done by me, from my home computer, 50 round-trip miles away, saving a minor parking fee and a major parking garage hunt. "Sorry our antiquated rules don't allow us to do that." "Well, if I go home and find proof of presence in the country, can I email it to this address you've so nicely provided me?" "Sorry, our antiquated rules don't allow us to do that."
Ten minutes with a very polite man, and I am done. Next step? Well......
My 214 shows 9 years 3 months overseas service. It does NOT show where. My Vietnam Service Medal listed on the 214, apparently only means I was somewhere in the neighborhood. Had I been awarded the Vietnam Campaign Medal, I would have been good to go. But I wasn't in Vietnam, ever. I was in northeast (B.F.) Thailand, not far from Hanoi, across the river from Laos.
"Can you prove that?" "um, I have a picture of me drinking a beer on a Thai gun boat on the Mekong one Sunday afternoon." "Nope, won't work."
"How about pics of me and my roomdog downtown NKP?" "Nope, won't work."
"How about my roomdog's name on the Wall?" "Nope, won't work."
"The nights I sat in a bunker armed to the teeth?" "Nope, won't work."
"Do you have copies of your orders to NKP?" "Oh, shit, yeah, those I had f'in framed......"
So, not ever having been officially at NKP for a year, not ever having called my parents at Christmas time "hi. over"; having never sent nor received mail; I apparently was not exposed to AO and thus have nothing to worry about.
F'N A......sigh.

This, folks, is a noteworthy repeat from 2010 publishing date, written by a retiring journalist of 49 years at the time, Charley Reese:
--------------------------------------------
Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.
Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY we have deficits?
Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?
You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does.
You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
You and I don't write the tax code. Congress does.
You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.
You and I don't control monetary police, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
One hundred senators, 435 congressmen and women, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 people out of some 312m, are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.
I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to federally charterd, but private, central bank.
I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if the offer a politician $1m cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he or she votes.
The 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperte in the common con, regardless of party.
What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and crixiticsed the President for creating deficits....the president can only propose a budget. he cannot force the Congress to accept it.
The Constitution which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the house of Representatives for orignating and approving appropriations and taxes.....the Speaker and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.
It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 312m can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -by present facts- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists, is what they want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair. If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red. If the Army and Marines are in wherever, it's because they want them there.
If they do not receive social security bur are on an elite reitrement plan not availabble to the people, it's because they want it that way.
There are no insoluble government problems.
Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, who they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.
They and they alone have the power. They and they alone should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.
We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!
